On race day, all athletes will face a 1K qualifier that will determine which of the three 10K races you compete in, as well as your starting position. ABOUT THE AFTER DARK TOUR LONDON

The After Dark Tour is a global race series that offers women an opportunity to test their limits and redefine what’s possible. Curated to bring women runners together, along with the communities that support them, Nike is inviting women to take on their next challenge and reclaim the night.
The Nike After Dark Tour reaches its final stop this year in London on 23rd November 2025.

The racing kicks off with a 1K Qualifier. Your 1K Qualifier time sets which of the three 10K Races you compete in and your starting spot; the faster the Qualifier time, the further up the field you start. Those that do not run the 1K Qualifier will start at the back of their assigned 10K Race. The top 3 finishers of each 10K Race will be celebrated on the podium.

Yes, Friends and family are invited to witness the electric energy of the After Dark Tour London. Share the spectator registration link with your crew and get them signed up. Spectator tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Yes, food and beverage will be available for purchase throughout the event. All services will be card only and unable to accept cash.
  • By public transport: The DLR is out of service on race weekend, so Prince Regent Station will be closed. Use the Elizabeth Line to Custom House Station instead.
  • Parking at Excel: Parking is available at the venue. Please book your parking in advance.
  • By Bike: Free cycle racks are available at Excel London’s West Entrance, under the DLR walkway
Yes. The exclusive After Dark Tour collection will be available for purchase at the event.
Yes, The main event space is fully indoors and protected from the elements. Although the race course contains both indoor and outdoor running, most of the outdoor running is sheltered under cover.
Yes, the event will contain flashing lights and loud sounds. If you are sensitive to light and sound, this event may not be suitable for you. For more information, please contact Customer Service at afterdarktour@nike.com

RACE BIBS

All runners must pick up their own race packs at Nike Oxford Circus prior to the event. Your photo ID is mandatory to pick up your race bib.

RACE DAY ESSENTIALS

Only bags up to 45x36x20cm in size will be accepted at bag drop. Your race pack will include a bag tag which you should affix to your bag prior to arrival. Bag drop will be accessible throughout the duration of the event.
In the Pre Race Zone – all athletes must cross the bridge and enter the Pre Race Zone to start their 1K Qualifier and 10K Race.
We recommend entering the Pre Race Zone at least 30-minutes before the start of your assigned 1K Qualifier Wave and 10K Race. Athletes must be race-ready with their race bib pinned on in order to access the Pre Race Zone. A space to stretch, a warm-up jogging lane and toilets will also be provided in this area.
  • Pre Race Zone opens at 13:30 for the 1K Qualifiers
  • Pre Race Zone opens 45-minutes before the start of 10K Race 1
  • Pre Race Zone opens 1-hour before the start of 10K Race 2 and 3
No, please run in your assigned Qualifying Wave. The tear-off tag on your bib will have your assigned Qualifier Wave. This tag will grant you access into the Pre Race Zone to start your 1K Qualifier.
Each Qualifier Wave (Wave A, B, and C) is 10 minutes long. You may start your Qualifier Wave at any time within your 10 minute window. You will queue to start your 1K Qualifier in order of arrival.
Once all 1K Qualifier times are set, we will publish your 10K Race and Start Pen assignments online via the Find My Race page.
Regardless of whether you take part in the 1K Qualifier or not, all participants will receive their race assignments through the same link.
No, runners have been allocated to their 10K Race and Pen according to their Qualifier/pace. Please do not switch. All runners will be assigned a 10K race based on their 1k qualifier performance. If you want to jump to the front of the start grid for your race, running fast in the 1K qualifier is your chance.
All 10K Races will be held on a 2.5K course. You will run 4 laps of the Race course to complete your Race.
All 10K Races will start and finish under the gantry. The gantry will be separated into a Lap Lane and Finish Lane. At the end of your 1st, 2nd and 3rd laps you must pass through the Lap Lane to continue onto another lap. At the end of your 4th and final lap, you will finish on the Finish Lane. Every runner is responsible for keeping track of their own laps.
There are no cut off times for Race 1 and 2.
There is a cut off time of 1:00hr for Race 3 – to ensure no-one misses the PinkPantheress Celebration. Athletes who fall outside of the time limit during Race 3 may be allowed to finish at the Race Director’s discretion. The Race Director reserves the right to remove runners in Race 3 from the course once 1:00hr elapsed.
Yes, Pacers will be available in all three races. You will find the Pacers in the start pens, easy to spot with their pacer backpack flags.
  • 10K RACE 01 16:10: 01:00, 01:05, 01:10, 01:15, 01:20
  • 10K RACE 02 17:30: 00:50, 00:55, 1:00
  • 10K RACE 03 18:35: 00:40, 00:45, 00:50
The top 5 positions for each 10K Race will be determined by finishing order at the finish line. The first athlete to break the tape wins. A strong starting position is crucial to compete for the podium.
The rest of the ranking will be determined based on chip time. Once you cross the timing mat at the start of your race your time will begin recording.
Please note that the top 5 finishers will have their results verified and will be disqualified in the instance that the appropriate number of laps have not been completed, a Race Bib with timing chip is not worn or a runner runs in someone else’s Race Bib.
Your finisher medal, can of Drip Water and nutrition by Cadence will be available in the finish area.
Yes, the top 3 finishers of each 10K Race will be celebrated on the podium. There will be a podium ceremony after each 10K Race.

COURSE DETAILS

The course contains indoor and outdoor running, with most of the outdoor running sheltered under cover. The surface is a mixture of asphalt and concrete and each lap features multiple turns, a short uphill section and a short downhill section. Water and toilets will be available on the course.
The course will be marked by barriers, traffic cones, delineation, and/or other markings. Runners must recognise and follow event signage and symbols relating to the course, directions and facilities, and must follow the instructions of course marshals and event officials.
The 10K course has a water station which runners will pass on the second, third and fourth laps. Please refrain from littering and dispose of your cups in the bins provided.
Yes, there will be clearly marked timing splits at each KM along the course. These splits will help you manage your pace and keep track of what lap you are on.
Yes, the course will be certified by England Athletics.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Those arriving late to their Qualifier Wave should join the next Wave. Runners who have completely missed the 1K Qualifiers will automatically be assigned a 10K Race and Pen according to their predicted 10K time entered at registration.
Runners are responsible for being on time for their 1K Qualifier and 10K Race start. Please arrive at Excel London with sufficient time to check in your bag, get race ready, and enter the start pens.
Those who have missed their 10K Race must head to the Runner Help Desk. At the organiser’s discretion, late-arriving participants may be moved to the next race or have their registration forfeited.
If you have lost your bib/wristband, please head to the Event Check In in the Upper Boulevard (outside S11) when you arrive. If you lose either inside the event, head to the Runner Help Desk and ask for assistance.

SAFETY AND WELLBEING

Yes, First Aid is available in the Lower Boulevard. A full race medical facility will be located near the start and finish line. There is also roaming medical coverage across all of the routes.
Before the race, ensure you fill out the back of your Race Bib with your emergency information. This could be critical on event day. Also, think carefully before running if you’ve recently been injured or unwell. Seek advice from your doctor if in doubt.
Yes. A Quiet Space will be available in the Lower Boulevard near the changing rooms. Additionally, a Family Room and Multi-Faith Prayer Room will be located along the main Boulevard.
As a brand built by runners, for runners, Nike has always been committed to creating experiences that help athletes overcome obstacles, push beyond their limits, and enjoy the benefits of sport. Nike are committed to providing a positive race experience for all After Dark Tour runners, with this unique experience informed by women’s insights, and designed to bring women runners together, fostering a sense of community, self-expression, and unapologetic self-belief that will leave participants feeling seen, supported and motivated.
Nike has worked closely with the venue to enforce robust operational measures such as road closures, well-lit courses, security teams, emergency services on site, parking logistics and crowd management, so every athlete can perform at their best during the race. Runners are not required to train at night in advance of the After Dark Tour.

ATHLETE ZONE AND POST RACE CELEBRATION

Together with our partners, the Athlete Zone will get you race ready with unique and bookable experiences and exclusive After Dark Tour merch.
PinkPantheress will be headlining the After Dark Tour London.
Once all 10K Races are complete, the start and finish will transform from race mode to concert mode.
The post-race party, headlined by PinkPantheress, will start approximately 8pm.
The post-race party and concert will end at Excel London at 9pm.
No, all registered athletes and spectators will have access to the venue to attend the concert and Athlete Zone activities. Athletes must wear their Athlete wristband (found in their race pack) to gain access to the venue. Spectators will be sent a QR code via email to enable access to the event and will be provided a spectator wristband on entry.
